Question

Q: How long is the unit? I have a Can Am maverick x3 and im interested if this product will work for me and if it will fit in my cargo bag. Im active duty military newly stationed at Ft. Huachuca and i dont no anyone yet and trying to cover myself if i get stuck out in the trails lol.

Q: I saw your U-5000 jack advertised on Amazon as a boat lift dock jack and as being galvanized. This looks like a good jack for my use in lifting both boat lifts and leveling docks, but want to inquire about its durability when used spring and fall in fresh water. What parts of the jack are galvanized? I assume that it is mechanically a screw jack. If that is the case, are the screw and wormwheel rust and corrosion proof? Thanks!

Q: Is the size of the cranking point 3/4 inch (19mm)? Also, I know the tongue is 6 inches long......what is the thickness?

Q: Some of the pics on line show a very small welding lip on the lift arm and some other pics don't show the small lip. I'm interested to determine if the lip is there so as to prevent the arm from slipping off of the lift point on whatever it is that I jack up.

When the Jack is fully retracted it's 22" long and weights 13 lbs. It has a telescoping leg so between the 13" of travel and telescoping leg it will run from 6" to 36" High.

I got the Jack for my UTV and it works great. I can pick up the whole side of my Ranger to change a tire (s). The Jack is galvanized on the outside. At one time i used a high lift jack; painful to use under water ugh.. The UTV jack works great for my boat lift; getting the wheels off in the spring and back on in the fall (I just pulled my lift week before last and used it again). The jack goes down to 6" off the bottom and lifts to 36". Of course it gets wet inside and out; including where the worm gear is but the inside is filled with grease and after two seasons there is still grease in there and no rust. The worm gears are not galvanized (they are machined) so you'll want to make sure you dry it out. (I didn't do that and it's still not rusted). Note: I am one of the owners of Hornet and we designed this Jack for off road UTV use and you will believe of course that my answer carries bias. If you buy it off our web site and it doesn't work for you ship it back for a full refund (within 30 days please). If it's wet I'll dry it out and use it for my personal use. It's the handiest Jack I own. Use it changing lawnmower blades, trailer tires, (including my very heavy wood trailer), boat trailer tires and you name it.

Yes the lip is on all Hornet Jacks and is there to help prevent the arm from slipping off as you indicated.

That is the lifting arm on the jack. On the video and image it is simply inserted in to the receiver hitch as a lifting point.

The Lift arm on the jack has neoprene rubber on the top surface to minimize slipping. Also, the end of the lift arm has a metal lip that protrudes up so it can engage.
